LeRoy Lancaster

LeRoy Lancaster enlisted in the air corps Jan. 5, 1942, and went first to Camp Grant, Rockford. From there he was sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. for about four weeks after which he was transferred in Ft. Jackson, Miss., April 24 was sent to Columbia Air Base, S.C.

LeRoy is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lancaster of Tampico. He was born May 18, 1922 at Prophetstown. He moved with his family in Rockford when four years of age and attended Rockford schools. The faily later moved to Tampico and LeRoy graduated from the Tampico grade school and attended high school for one year.
