Darrell Eugene Graham

Pvt. Darrell Eugene Graham is a son of Mrs. Myrtle Young of Tampico. He attended the Tampico high school, graduating with the class of 1936.

He was inducted into the army April 23, 1941, being sent to Camp Grant and from there to Camp Forrest, Tenn.

He was first assigned to the ordnance company but only served in that company capacity three days. After which, due to a month in the hospital with streptococcus throat infection and pneumonia he was transferred to Co. D 108th Med Reg. in the ambulance division. On dec. 8, he was sent to Chattnooga, Tenn. for a month in conncetiong with the guarding of dams and defense plants in that vicinity. On Feb. 18 he with two others from his company, was picked to go with the new cadre to Fort Dix. N. J. He likes the climate and surroundings there much better than in Tennessee. Ft. Dix is an old fort, having a capacity of 75,000 menHis present address is Pvt. Darrell Eugene Graham, 36028700, HQ Co., U.S.A. Force No. 9025, A.P. O. 1015, in care of postmaster Mew York city, N.Y.

He is now on his way overseas to somewhere.

Hand-written note says he worked at Tampico Creamery.
