Whorton, Tampico COD: Myocardial Infarction Date of Death: Jan 4, 1950 Occupation of deceased: Janitor Married: Linnie Shere Birth Place: Henry County Birth date: May 8, 1887 Father: Ambrose Shere Mother's Maiden Name: Linda Swanson Informant: wife, Linnie Shere Linnie A Shere 1888-1966, place of birth, Dakota (per Funeral Log) The following information provided by Les Niemi: Linnie, as noted, is the wife of John Ellis SHERE; to whom she was married January 6, 1909. Linnie A. DENNISON was born to Leslie Walter and Maude nee DOW DENISON in North Dakota in 1888 (actually known as "the northern half of the Dakota Territory in 1888.) Linnie died in Tampico December 27, 1966. Leslie Walter was the son of Henry L. & Louise A. nee NEWTON DENNISON and was born in Illinois October 29, 1863. Maude was the daughter of William Henry Harrison "Tip" (brother of my gg grandfather Benjamin F.) and Lydia M. BROWN. Tip m Susannah E. nee GRAY - LANE after Lydia died. (Tip was Susannha's 2nd husband, first was Charles A. LANE who died in Leon in 1878; and Susannah was Tip's 2nd wife, first was Lydia M. BROWN who died in Yorktown in 1884.) William H.H. "Tip" DOW died in Pasadena, CA and was known for inventing a special cure for cancer which he willed to his widow Susannah E. nee GRAY; the children being cut out of the will. Linnie's siblings included: Louise Lois m Henry J. KLOB Richard H. John's siblings included: Ralph Bessie Leona m Harry E. DOW (son of Tip and Ben's brother Henry "Harry" Clay DOW) Jesse Leroy m Eloise B FOUTH Maude Edna m Harry MARTIN, then George BLACKERT Maude Edna & Harry MARTIN had a daughter Marge MARTIN who married Unknown HINTERTHUER.
