Reagan's Boyhood Home

Photos taken 2007
Reagan was BORN in an apartment over a bakery, which later became the First National Bank on Main Street, Tampico. Around the age of 3 months, his family moved a block south to Glassburn Street, directly across from Railroad Park (aka: Reagan Park today). He lived in this home until he was about 9 years old. The first house to the east was the home of Tampico's founding family, J. W. Glassburn and wife Olive. Just to the west of Reagan's was the TAMPICO HOUSE (hotel & livery, once owned by David Slye). That building is no longer standing.

This is now a private residence, but there is a sign in the front yard.

This view is taken from Reagan Park, looking south.
