Brandon Draven Spears, age 11, of 6758 2900 N. Avenue Tampico, Illinois died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home in Tampico.

Brandon was born on July 6, 1996 in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Jason and Nickole (Edwards) Spears. He was a sixth grade student at Bureau Valley North in Walnut, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and video games and was a talented artist and poet. He also enjoyed riding his bike, his dog and kittens and playing with his brother.

He is survived by his parents Jason and Nickole Spears of Tampico, Illinois; one brother, Kevin Aiden Spears, paternal grandparents, Richard and Beverly Spears of Tampico, Illinois; maternal grandmother Cynthia Edwards of Clinton, Iowa; maternal grandfather Michael Lee Edwards of Clinton, Iowa; maternal great grandmother Juanita Edwards of Colorado; two aunts; two uncles; and four cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal great grandparents Dake and Margaret Spears and Mary Ann and James Swansbro.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut, officiating. burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico.  Visitation will be held on Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
