Prophetstown: - Nellie Brewer, 97, died Saturday at Resthaven Nursing home, Morrison. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gardner Funeral home. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Brewer was born Nov. 14, 1892 in Tampico, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Howlett. She married Buel A. Brewer Nov 12, 1913 in Tampico. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Prophetstown and Minerva Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Cordelia Hagel, Prophetstown; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded by one brother and one sister.
