MILDRED  B.  (Soliday)  LaDUE


Prophetstown: - Mildred B. LaDue, 93, formerly of Prophetstown, died Saturday in New Orleans, La.

 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Gardner Funeral Chapel in Prophetstown with the Rev. Bruce Janes, pastor of United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.  Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  A memorial has been established.

 

Mrs. LaDue was born on March 19, 1897, in Hooppole, the daughter of Andrew and Matilda (Schienleber) Soliday. She married Dr. Stanley LaDue in 1916 in Prophetstown. They lived in Prophetstown where he practiced dentistry. In 1923 they moved to Chillicothe. He died in 1950.  In 1984 she moved to Venice, La., to live with her son.

 

She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Women's University Club, both of Chillicothe. She had been an active Girl Scout leader.

 

She is survived by one son, Stanley B. Jr., Venice, La.; three step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by one brother.
