THEODORE  KLOCKENGA

 

Ted Klockenga Dies Thursday

 

Theodore Klockenga, 65, of RR, Tampico, died late Thursday evening at Morrison Community Hospital.

 

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Leon Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Mayer officiating.  Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.

 

He was born May 29, 1910 in Hartsburg, Ill., the son of Harm G. and Sena Oltman Klockenga.  He married Frances Maxine Satterfield in Davenport, Iowa on Feb. 3, 1940.  They have resided in the Tampico area all their life.  He was a member of the Leon Methodist Church and farmed in the Tampico area for many years.

 

Survivors include his mother of Prophetstown;  two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Warren of Forestville, Md., and Mrs. Alex (Connie) DiVerdi, of Rockford;  two sons, Bruce of Galesburg and Terry of Tampico;  11 grandchildren;  two sisters, Mrs. Roy Piepho of Sterling and Mrs. Anna Hook, Sterling; seven brothers, Jake, George, Harm, William and Gilbert all of Prophetstown and Walter and Raymond of Tampico.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and wife.
