TAMPICO — Iola V. Miller, 85, of 307 E. Kimball St., Tampico, died Thursday, June 10, 2008, at her home.



Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Open Bible Church, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Les Funderberg, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.

Iola V. Miller, age 85 of 307 E. Kimball St.. Tampico, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at her home.


Iola Victoria (Fortune) Miller was born on October 23, 1922 in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Edith (Calrson) Fortune. She was united in marriage to Gale Miller on December 7, 1940 in Webster City, Iowa and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2000. They came to Illinois in 1942. She was a member of theFirst Open Bible Church of Rock Falls, Illinois. Iola was a stay-at-home mom, giving her love to her eight children. They love her with all their heart and will miss her deeply.


She is survived by her children Gary L. (Bev) Miller of Morrison, IL; Patsy J. (Ron) Sharp of Tampico, IL; Donna K. Johnson of Tampico, IL, (Chuck O'Brien of Rock Falls, IL; Karen A. (Tome) Hall of Tampico, IL: Donald L. MIller of Rock Falls, IL; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchldren; one brother Donald (Joyce) Fortune of Tampico, IL; One sister Margie (John) Hill of Minnesota.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters LInda Gholson, Edith Verdick; one son Billy Gale Miller, three grandchildren Lisa, Tommy and Lori Ann.


Funeral servies were conducted on Saturday at the First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Les Funderberg, pastor officiating. Burial was in TAmpico Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.garlandfuneralhome.com
