MARSHALL O.  NEALY

 

Marshall O. Nealy Dies In W. Virginia

 

Erie: - Funeral services were conducted in Bluefield, W. Va., Sunday, Nov. 9 for Marshall O. Nealy, 80. The Rev. Jarrett O. Brown officiated for the service in Bailey Memorial Baptist Church in Bluefield.  Interment was made in Monte Vista Cemetery in that city.

 

Mr. Nealy passed away in St. Lukes Hospital, Bluefield, at 1:30 a.m. Friday after a brief illness.  He was born in Damascus, Va., June 15, 1889, the son of Alec and Amanda Rosenbaum Nealy. He was reared in Damascus and came to Illinois as a young man.

 

He was married to Zora E. Yarde of Tampico, and two children were born to this union.  Ellis W. Nealy of Dixon, and Mrs. Gail (Gladys) Cocking, Erie. His wife preceded him in 1951.  On Dec. 15, 1952, he was married to Mrs. Anna Richardson of Bluefield, at Erie. They made their home in Rock Falls until he retired from Russell, Burdsall and Ward in 1954.  At this time, they moved to West Virginia to make their home.

 

He was a member of the Bailey Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield. He was preceded by his first wife, one son in infancy.

 

Survivors include his wife, Anna, one son, one daughter, three stepsons, one stepdaughter, three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
