FRANK  S.  PETERS

 

Prophetstown: - Frank S. Peters, 92, formerly of Cicero, Ill., died Feb. 9, 1993 at Prophets-Riverview Center, Prophetstown, where he resised.

 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Prophetstown, with the Rev. William Morrissey officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the Gardner Funeral Home, Prophetstown, with a Christian wake service at 8 p.m.  Internment services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Resurection Cemetery, Justice.

 

A memorial has been established to Prophets-Riverview Center or masses.

 

Mr. Peters was born Nov. 25, 1900, Cicero, the son of Christ and Frances (Staszak) Pietrzak.  He was educated in Cicero Public School and attended Metropolitan Business College, Chicago.  He had lived in Cicero for 85 years. He had worked for Interstate Dispatch Company and Sterling Motor Company, both of Chicago, and later was an associate of W.A. Alexander Insurance Brokers.  He retired in 1965.  He was a former member of St. Valentine's Church, Cicero, was past president of the Holy Name Society of the church, and also served as president of Grant-Parkholme Senior Citizen Organization, Cicero.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Joan M. Poerstel of Prophetstown and Grace M. Francl of Lombard; one son, Donald J. Peters of Snellville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
