LESLIE  W.  DAMON


Sterling: - Leslie W. Damon, 82, of Glenview, died Jan.2, 1993, at Mease Hospital in Dunnedin, Fla., after a short illness.

 

Prayer services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Grennan Funeral Home, Sterling, followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Damon was born April 13, 1910, in Mt. Vernon, the son of William and Erie Jane (Palmer) Damon. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and had received a Doctor of Philosophy degree.  He married Anne O'Neil. She died April 15, 1983. He had worked at the Chicago Tribune and Bowser, Inc. Company in Chicago where he was vice president of public relations and served on the board of directors. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Glenview.

 

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
