ROBERT  G.  REYNOLDS

 

Prophetstown: - Robert G. Reynolds, 70, 1574 Yager Rd., died Thursday at his home.

 

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Leon United Methodist Church, with Dr. David Huttenstein, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Leon Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Gardner Funeral Chapel.

 

A memorial has been established.

 

Mr. Reynolds was born July 19, 1919 in Dixon, the son of LeRoy and Eva Johnson Reynolds. He married Jane Shearer on Jan. 31, 1943 in Prophetstown.  Mr. Reynolds had farmed his present farm from 1943 to 1985. He graduated from Prophetstown High School in 1937. He was a former member of the Centerville School Board and was serving on the Whiteside County Board of Schools Trustees at the time of his death.

 

He is survived by his wife, Jane; two daughters, Barbara Reynolds of Prophetstown, Susan Kirby of Davenport, Iowa; one granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Arlene Stouffer.
