Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Carroll of Rock Falls attended the funeral of his uncle, William Barenthin, 79, which was held in Galesville, Wis., Monday afternoon.


Mr. Barenthin was born and reared on a farm south of Yorktown and attended school in that vicinity. He is survived by his widow, the former Myrtle King and two sons and two daughters,, Erwin and Howard Barenthin, Mrs. Lester (Ella Mae) Steen and Mrs. Ronald (Gladys) Thomason. He also leaves one sister and one brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Carroll of Sterling and Edward Barenthin of Arlington, Minn., 12 grandchildren four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
