GEORGE  'BUD'  FORWARD

 

Tampico: - George "Bud" Forward, 70, of R.R. 1, Tampico, died March 26, 1994, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico, with the Rev. Vincent Shindelar officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. and a Bible service at 7:30 p.m.  A memorial has been established.

 

Mr. Forward was born Oct. 16, 1923 in Tampico, the son of George A. and Darlene (Anderburg) Forward. He was educated in the Tampico schools. He married Shirley Verdick Jan 27, 1943 in Kahokia, Mo.  He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Tampico St. Mary's Church.

 

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gregory (Nancy) and Jeffrey (Elaine) Forward, both of Tampico; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Kellison of Long Beach, Calif.;  Mrs. Charles (Linda) Taylor of Geneseo and Deborah Nye of Sterling; 17 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William (Thelma) Blum of Oregon, Mrs. Lowell (Mabel) Egert of Prophetstown, and Mrs. Forest (Frances) Leer of Walworth, Wis.; and one brother, Robert Forward of Prophetstown.

 

He was preceded in death by one grandson and two sisters.
