KENNETH MOORE

Rock Falls – Kenneth H. Moore, 81, of Rock Falls, died July 12, 1992 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, after a short illness. 

Prayer services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Melvin-Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rock Falls with the Rev. Bernard Mullane, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. 

A memorial has been established to St. Andrew Catholic Church. 

Mr. Moore was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Mineral, the son of George #. And Minnie (Lempke) Moore. He married Geraldine S. Roush on Dec. 10, 1933, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Sheffield. They farmed in the Mineral and Sheffield area from 1936 to 1955 when they moved to the Rock Falls area and frmed until his retirement in 1977.  

He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rock Falls; the L.O.O.M., Sterling and the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. He was the township assessor for Montmorency Township for 22 years and Hume Township for eight years. 

Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. James (Elaine) Vercher and Mrs. Norman (Karen) Barnum, both of rock Falls, and Mrs. Everett (Elouise) Bonar of Hanover; two sons, Roger (Rogene) Moore of Rock Falls and Mark (Barbara) Moore of Davenport, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Mrs. William (Cynthia) Odey of Kewanee. 

He is preceded in death by one brother, Elmer.

 My Father was Kenneth H. Moore. He was born in Bureau Co. Mineral 
> Twp. and farmed all of his life. Bought a farm in Whiteside Co. in 
> 1955 south of Rock Falls in Montmorency Twp. Lived there for almost 
> 40 years before he died on July 12, 1992 He was the Montmorency tax 
> assessor for many years. I can't find his obit on you web site. Can
