HARRY  E.  MONTAGUE

 

Harry E. Montague Dies This Morning

 

Harry E. Montague, 205 Freemont St., Tampico, died early this morning in Colonial Acres Rest home, Sterling, after an extended illness.  The body was moved to the Melvin Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Melvin Funeral Home. The Rev. David L. Beebe, pastor of the Rock Falls Christian Church will officiate and burial will take place in the IOOF Cemetery in Rock Falls.

 

Harry E. Montague was born Jan. 7, 1900 in Sterling. A resident of this area most of his life, he was employed at Novelty Iron Works for over 35 years and at Sterling Foundry for several years, retiring in 1960.  Surviving are several cousins.
