Carl Oscar Ross Dies Thursday, Services Saturday

Prophetstown: - Carl Oscar Ross, 72, died Thursday evening at his home.

Funeral services will be held at the Gardner Funeral Chapel Saturday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Harker, officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Township.  Visitation will be Friday (tonight) from 7 to 9 pm.

Mr. Ross was born March 3, 1898, in Yorktown Township, the son of Charlie and Ida Johnson Ross.  He lived most of his lifetime in the Prophetstown area.  He was educated in the Pleasant Ridge School.  He was a baptized member of the Lutheran Church, but was not a member.

Survivors include one brother, Anton, Erie;  three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Swanson and Mrs. Ruth Sorathy, both of Prophetstown.  Mrs. Edith Swanson, Albany.

He was preceded by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.   Memorials may be directed to the Heart Fun.-------------
