JOHN R. HAMMERLE

 

John R. Hammerle Rites Wednesday

 

Walnut: - John R. Hammerle, a former Walnut resident, died Sunday at Lena Nursing Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut.  The Rev. Orville Cole of Lanark will officiate.  Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

John Hamerle was born May 18, 1885 in the Red Oak community, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Maul Frederick Hammerle.  He lived his entire life in this community.  He married Bessie E. Hackett of Tampico Dec. 30, 1914.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Burkey of Warren,  Mrs. Priscilla Donavan of Geneva and Mrs. Mariloouise Von Bergen of Sterling;  10 grandchildren;  and 14 great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded by his wife, one son, five brothers and one sister.
