Mrs. H. H. Kempster Dies In Arizona
 
Prophetstown: - Mrs. H. H. (Orpha) Kempster, 71, passed away Thursday morning at the South Side District Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
 
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Prophetstown, the Rev. A. Dean Lundstrom officiating, with burial in
Riverside Cemetery.
 
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Gardner Funeral Chapel, Prophetstown.
 
Orpha Gage Kempster was born Feb. 18, 1896 in Prophetstown, the daughter of Eugene and Cora Hotchkiss Underill.  She was educated in the Prophetstown schools. She married Edward Backer Aug. 21, 1916 in Sterling and he passed away in 1949. She married H. H. Kempster in Sterling April 17, 1955.  The couple have lived in Rockford until moving to Mesa, Ariz.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, OES, White Shrine and Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
 
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Cleo) Pergrem of Arcadia, Calif.;  Mrs. George (Myrtle) Perkins of Prophetstown;  Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Barnes of Rockford; one sister, Mrs. C. C. (Fern) Kempster of San Diego, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
 
She was preceded by her parents, first husband a brother, Gale.
