Harold E. Carlson Dies In His Home 

Tampico: - Harold E. Carlson, 66, of Tampico, passed away suddenly this morning at his home, following an extended illness. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schmitt Chapel, Tampico, the Rev. Arthur Lynn of the Tampico Baptist Church officiating, with burial in

Tampico Memorial Cemetery. 

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Fund. 

Harold Carlson was born Dec. 29, 1901 in Kewanee, the son of Hjalmer and Carie Carlson. He attended the Kewanee schools. He married Luella McCombs on Aug. 1, 1923.  His entire life was spent as a carpenter and contractor in Sterling and Tampico area.  He was a member of the Tampico Baptist Church, past member of the Tampico American Legion Post and a long time member of the carpenter's union. 

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Arlyn (Lucille) Cady of Yorktown; Mrs. Jack (Lois) Glassburn of Sterling; two sons, Neil Carlson of Tampico; Wayne Carlson of Moline; 24 grandchildren, four brothers, Ralph, Glenn, Lester and Lloyd; two sisters, Ruth Cluck and Doris Lang. 

He was preceded by his parents and one son in infancy.
