William Adams Dies This Morning 

Tampico: - William S. Adams, 79, passed away at his home in Tampico this morning after a short illness. 

Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico, the Rev. Robert P. Donovan officiating with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at the chapel Wednesday evening at 8:30.  

William S. Adams was born Jan. 30, 1889 near New Bedford, the son of Rank and Caroline Adams. He was educated in the Burden School in Bureau County. He married Bessie L. Coleman of Deer Grove on April 26, 1911 in St. Mary's Church, Tampico.  He lived in the Tampico vicinity all his life, and farmed for many years in Bureau County, before moving to town. 

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Rolf (Laverna) Stein of Stockton;  Mrs. Evalyn Staelens of Tampico; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Adams of Tampico; one sister, Mrs. Ksabel Long of Sheffield, a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded by one son in infancy, two brothers and two sisters.
