Tampico Farmer Taken By Death - Fred Frank Passes Away At His Farm Home Today 

Fred Frank, 44, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning in his home southwest of Tampico, following a serious illness since last Sunday.  He underwent an operation last April 18 at Iowa City, Ia., for the removal of a brain tumor and death resulted from another tumor which formed on the brain. 

Funeral services will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock and the Church of Christ at 2:30 o'clock.  Interment will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery

The deceased was born January 9, 1894, at Thomastown, Bureau County, Illinois, the son of Charles and Mary Frank.  He received his education in the Thomas and at the Sunnyside schools.  He was married to Eunice Goble, October 11, 1916, at the home of her parents near Tampico. They lived for three years after their marriage on the Harrington farm and then moved to their present farm home. 

Mr. Frank was a member of the Tampico Church of Christ, the Royal Neighbors of America, the Fidelity Life Association, also a member of the Tampico Farmer's Elevator and township school trustee.  For 12 years he had been a director of the Sunnyside School, but was not a director at the time of his death. 

Besides his widow, he leaves one son, Lyle Stanley, in the home, and his mother, Mrs. Mary Frank of Rock Falls, and one brother, William Frank of Tampico.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Augusta, and his father who died in September, 1929.
