Found Wife Dead In Chair At Home

Prophetstown, Ill., May 4 - (Special) -- The funeral of Mrs. Carl Swinke, who passed away suddenly at the family home here on Monday will be held at Tampico at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with burial in that city. 

Mrs. Swinke's lifeless body was found in a chair by the husband when he came home for dinner.  Her death was a great shock to him, as she was in her usual good health when he left home in the morning. 

Mrs. Swinke was a native of Germany, born August 24, 1864.  Mr. and Mrs. Swinke were married June 3, 1889 and to this union eight children were born, six of whom survive.  The surviving children are Mrs. Bertha Currie, Prophetstown;  George Swinke, Kayecee, Wyoming;  Mrs. Ella Thompson, Peoria;  Otto Swinke, Tampico;  William Swinke, Kankakee;  Henry Swinke, Prophetstown.
