IRENE  (Erwin)  DEVINE 

Mrs. Irene Devine Of Rock Falls Dies Today 

Mrs. Irene Devine, 76, of 207 E. 9th St., Rock Falls, died early Thursday morning in Community General Hospital. 

Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral home for a prayer and requiem mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Tampico. The Rev. Eugene Parker will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Friends may call at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral home in Rock Falls from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. A rosary will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Devine was born June 8, 1896, in Amboy, the daughter of William and Irene Schultz Erwin. She was united in marriage to James LeRoy Devine, April 19, 1919. He preceded her in death in 1960. 

Mrs. Devine is survived by two sons, John L. Devine of Sterling and Thomas R. Devine of Rock Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Cathrine) Roush and Mrs. Bernice Roush of Rock Falls and Mrs. Leon (Shirley) Neese of Sterling; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother and five sisters. She is preceded by her husband, her parents, two sons, one brother and one grandson.
