Laura Henson Dies Tuesday
 
Tampico: - Laura Elberta Henson, 76, Tampico died Tuesday morning at Rock Falls Colonial Acres Nursing Home.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Schmitt Funeral Chapel, Tampico with the Rev. Clarke Devore, pastor of the Tampico Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
 
Laura Henson was born in Wayne County, Ill., the daughter of John L. and Etta Ellis Burgess.  She received her education at Vest School.  She married Lyle Henson at Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 14, 1917.  She was a member of  Latter Day Saints Church in Brush Creek,  Branch, Ill., and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She lived in the Tampico area since August 1975.
 
Survivors include her husband, one son, Gerald Henson of Tampico; two brothers, Roy Burgess of Orchardville, Ill., and William Burgess of Xenia, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Jim Melton of Lanark;  two grandchildren, Sandra Sue Winkler of Sterling and Gary Henson of Rock Falls; and six great grandchildren.
 
She was preceded by her parents.
