Marie Nielsen Rites Monday
 
Mrs. Marie Sophie Nielsen, 89k 502 12th Avenue, Rock Falls, died at Community General Hospital Thursday evening.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral home with the Rev. Joel Rustad, pastor of the Yorktown Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A memorial has been established to the Rock Falls Immanuel Lutheran Church in her memory.
 
Mrs. Nielsen was born Sept. 6, 1887 in Fyn, Denmark, the daughter of Ludvig and Sara M. Nielsen Pedersen.  She attended school in Denmark and as a young lady came to the United States settling in Tampico with an aunt and uncle.  She was a member of the Rock Falls Immanuel Lutheran Church.
 
Mrs. Nielsen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Hertha) Moore of Rock Falls, and one son, Henry Nielsen of RR 1, Tampico; one brother Holger Pedersen of Tampico; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hansen and Mrs. Christina Christensen, both of Denmark; nine grandchildren and 22 gret grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Niels J. Nielsen who died June 24, 1947; one son, one sister; four brothers and three grandsons.
