Yorktown Boy Dies at Princeton Hospital

Wilbur Hansen, 9 year-old-son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hansen died Monday in Perry Memorial Hospital.  He had entered the hospital on Thursday to receive treatment for pneumonia.

Conduct Funeral For William Hansen at Fairfield Church

Funeral services for Wilbur Hansen were held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Smith in New Bedford, with the Rev. Maynard Woudsma in charge, and at the Fairfield Lutheran Church with the pastor, Rev. Milton Lundahl, in charge.  The singing was by Mrs. Hazel Hewitt and Mrs. Foressa Lathrop, with Mrs. Sylvia Lindgren as accompanist.  The casket bearers were Jimmie and Billy Anderson, Leo and Gene Lindelof and Donald and Charles Nelson.  Burial was in the Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery.

Wilbur Hansen, son of William and Evelyn Hanson, was born in Fairfield Township, Bureau County, April 26, 1932, departed this life December 16, 1940, aged eight years, seven months and 20 days, after a short illness of measles which developed complications.  He was confirmed in the Fairfield Lutheran Church in September 1939, and was greatly interested in his Sunday school.  He was a child of kind and lovable disposition and a favorite with his playmates.
