Tampico - Geraldine L. Braggo, age 87, 212 South Benton of Tampico, Illinois and formerly of Amboy, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut.

Geraldine was born on February 6, 1922, in Tampico, Illinois the daughter of Herbert and Sadie I. (Renner) Lee. She was united in marriage to Raymond H. Braggo on December 19, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. They farmed in the Prophetstown and Amboy area until retiring. She graduated from Tampico High School and Kewanee Beauty School. She was a lifetime member of the Green River Saddle Club and enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Braggo of Tampico, Illinois; three daughters Rita (Howard) Wilson of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Nancy (Greg) Forward of Tampico, Illinois, Cathy Schultz of Amboy, Illinois; eight grandchildren Jeff (Dawn) Wilson of Amboy, Illinois, Doug (Shannon) Wilson of Cobb, Wisconsin, Amy (Mike) Anderson of Lena, Illinois, Lori (Bill) Althaus of Sublette, Illinois, Paul (Nicole) Forward of Manlius, Illinois, Gary (Jody) Forward of Tampico, Illinois, Karin (Kevin) Quest of LaMoille, Illinois, Gillian Schultz of Amboy, Illinois, one granddaughter in law Mandi Forward of Tampico, Illinois; 16 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, five step grandchildren Hollie (Mark) Oprian of Dixon, Illinois, Noelle (Dustin) Brown of Steward, Illinois Cruz Martinez and Elsa (Luke) Payne both of Amboy, Illinois, Cody (Alyx) Martinez of Ventura, California; six step great grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Scott Forward, one granddaughter Angela Bulfer, one brother Herbert J. Lee, three sisters Mildred Thome and twin sisters Frances and Faye Lee in infancy.

Cremation rites were accorded. Private Memorial services will be held on a later date. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY. Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Condolences may be sent to: www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
