Requiem At Tampico For Joseph Henrekin

Deer Grove: - Funeral services wee held Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico for Joseph James Henrekin of Deer Grove. The mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Ambrose Weitekamp. Committal was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Mosher, Edward Callahan, William Schauf, William Turnow, Harlan Russell and Clarence Akridge.

Mr. Henrekin passed away Thursday at the farm home following an illness of two years.  He was born April 9, 1889 at Tampico, son of John and Helen Henrekin and was reared in the township and attended Maple Hill School, near Tampico. On Jan. 12, 1915 he married Barbara McVey at Ohio, Ill.  He was a member of St. Mary's Church at Tampico.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Barbara Henrekin of Deer Grove; a son Thomas, and a son Charles Vernon, both of Deer Grove; Mrs. David Haenhi a daughter of Sterling; Mrs. Harry Buxtro, a sister of Walnut; and Mrs. Margaret Lauff, a sister.  William Henrekin of Walnut is a surviving brother. There are five grandchildren.
