STANLEY  LAVERNE  GLASSBURN
 
St. Petersburg, Fla. - Stanley Laverne Glassburn, 77, 1012 16th Ave., North, St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Tampico, died Monday evening in St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg.
 
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Tampico United Methodist church, with the Rev. Brad Wilson, pastor officiating.  Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.
 
A memorial has been established in his memory to the Tampico United Methodist, Church.
 
Stanley Glassburn was born on Jan. 13, 1907 in Tampico, the son of Fred and Lena Forward Glassburn. He was united in marriage to the former Gladys McDonald in Tampico on May 19, 1927. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and did carpenter work during his lifetime.
 
Surviving are his wife, Gladys, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Fred, Tampico, and Glenn, Ft. Washington, Md.;  one daughter, Mrs. John (Marlene) Nelson, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Donald Glassburn, Rock Falls.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
