Tampico -
Everett David Ulrich, son of Elmer C. and Lydia Ann (Hostetler) Ulrich, was born
January 8, 1927 at Shelbyville, IL. Peacefully passed away in his home near
Tampico, IL. of apparent heart failure at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August, 19, 2010,
at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 11 days.
He accepted Christ in his youth and was baptized in 1941. He was a faithful
believer and follower of Jesus Christ and was a member at Grandview Gospel Fellowship at the time of his death.
On January 14, 1947 he was united in marriage to Emmagene Kempf at the Fairfield
A.M. Church near Tampico, IL. They shared their joys and sorrows for over sixty-three
and one half years.
To this union were born 4 sons and 3 daughters, Richard and wife Martha of Gleason WI. Jerry and wife Velma of Cleburne TX. Nancy and husband Reuben Yoder of Costa Rica, Linda and husband Herman Yoder of Costa Rica, Mark and wife Delores of Monroe WI.Cheryl and husband Daryl Kauffman of Tampico IL. Elmer Lee and wife Jenny of Tampico IL. 73 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren ,10 step- great-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving, 1 brother Leonard Ulrich of Hartwell, GA. and one sister, Ellen Martin
of Tampico IL. and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Ulrich, his mother, Lydia Ann (Hostetler) Ulrich , brother Vernon Ulrich , sisters, Evelyn and Marjorie Ulrich, brother Vilas Ulrich, 2 grandsons, baby William Ray Kauffman, and baby Luke David Ulrich. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church of Tampico. Burial will be in Fairfield Amish Mennonite Cemetery of Tampico. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite School of Tampico. Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.
