Prophetstown Woman Died Tuesday After Only A Week's Illness



 Tuesday about nine o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Margaret Camp of Prophetstown after an illness of only about a week.  At the time of her death she was reading a newspaper in an upright position in her bed and suddenly she was taken with a fainting spell and sank back on her pillow and passed away.  Up to about a week previous to being taken sick she was able to be about the town and was felling unusually well. 



Miss Margaret Britton was born in Syracuse, N.Y., in 1845, and when but a girl came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Britton, to Janesville, Wis., where the family lived several years when they moved to Galena, Ill., where they spent several years, when they went to Moline, Ill., making their permanent home.



 She was married to Abraham Camp in 1876 and to this union was born three daughters, Mrs. Virgil Wright of Northwood, Ia., Mrs. Leona Glissmann of Davenport, Ia., and Mrs. J. M. Marks of this place.  She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. May Apple and Mrs. Floyd Hunt of Moline, and Mrs. Nettie Bay of New Mexico, all her daughters surviving her as well as the sisters.



 The funeral will be held Thursday at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. W. R. Wilson of the M.E. Church in charge.  Burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery.  



 Mrs. Camp has for many years lived in the vicinity of Prophetstown and in the town and but a few years ago buried her husband.  She was a highly respected lady and died a member of the M.E. Church, a devout Christian lady.
