ELLEN  GIBSON

Funeral of Mrs. Gibson

The death of Mrs. Ellen Gibson, an aged and highly respected resident of Bureau Co., occurred last Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Olsson at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 20 days.  She had been sick less than two weeks and death was due to weakness of age and other infirmities. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Swedish Church west of New Bedford at two o'clock, following a short service at the late home, and interment made in the Tampico Cemetery.  The services were in charge of Rev. Alfred Nelson, and Messrs. James Nelson, Alfred and Swan Crosell, Otto Johnson, Will Anderson and Nelse Swanson acted as pallbearers.  Mrs. Gibson was born in Sweden, March 10, 1835, but had spent most of her life in this country.  She leaves to mourn her loss three sons and one daughter. They are John, Andrew and Swan, and Mrs. John Olsson, the husband and father having passed to the other shore a number of years ago.
