Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at First Christian Church of Sterling with Pastor David Yonker officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Sterling. Garland Funeral Home, Tampico, is in charge of arrangements.

STERLING – Marjorie H. Anderson, 87, of Sterling, formerly of Tampico, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society Prophets Riverview, Prophetstown.
Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

STERLING – Marjorie H. Anderson, 87, of 2403 E. 19th St., Sterling, formerly of Tampico, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown.

Marjorie was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Sterling, the daughter of Claude and Vella (Hagans) Hurless. She married Warren Anderson on Jan. 12, 1946, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2000. She was a homemaker; and a member of First Christian Church of Sterling.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicki (Donald) Dimmich of St. Louis; one son, Kelvin (Barb) Anderson of Tampico; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Lyle (Esther) Hurless of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church of Sterling with pastor David Yonker officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

A memorial has been established to First Christian Church of Sterling.
