VALINE  'ELAINE'  (Stutzke)  JONES

 

Tampico: - Valine "Elaine" Jones, age 82, of 5626 Luther Road, Tampico, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at her home near Tampico.

 

Mrs. Jones was born on April 21, 1922, in Sterling, the daughter of Carl and Valine (Oliver) Stutzke. 

She was united in marriage to Clarence E. "Casey" Jones on Aug. 22, 1941, in Sterling, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 15 2001.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Martin of Sterling, Judy (Gordy) Spencer of Rock Falls and Alice (Dennis) Vetter of Tampico; one son, Paul (Rita) Jones of Freeport; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; one sister-in-law, Betty Stutzke of Sterling, and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister and two granddaughters.

 

Private graveside services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 in Tampico Memorial Cemetery with Rev. David Beebe, pastor of the New Bedford Christian Church, officiating.  There was no visitation.  A memorial has been established in her memory.

 

The Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is in charge of arrangements.
