VICTORIA - Velma M. Car-Skaden, 91, of Victoria, formerly of Rock Falls, Ill. died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005.
 
She was born March 28, 1914, in Sterling, to the late Walter R. and Effie Mae (Null) Landis. She taught Sunday School at the Rock Falls United Methodist Church, was a member of the United Methodist Church Women, a member of the Sinissippi Rod and Gun Club, and belonged to the Wally-Byam Caravan Club International and the National Campers and Hikers Association. She was a bookkeeper for Car-Skaden Brake Service until retiring.

Survivors: daughters, Mary Jane Atwell of Victoria, Nancy Dodillet of Dixon; sister, Dorothy Landis Warren of Tampico; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Schilling Funeral Home, the Rev. Larry Thomson officiating.

Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, Ill.

Visitation will be 4-6 PM, Thursday, October 9, 2005 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, Ill., 815-626-1131.

A memorial has been established at the Rock Falls United Methodist Church.
