Miss Dollie Margaret Cox, 60, of the Leon community southeast of Prophetstown, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sterling Public Hospital, following a major operation on Friday.  The body was removed to the Helm and Helm Mortuary in Prophetstown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the late residence and at 2:30 p.m. at the Leon Church.  Interment will in the Leon Cemetery.

Miss Cox, who had been ill since the first of the year, was born March 1, 1884, on the home place where she had spent her entire life.  She was the daughter of Sylvester M. and Eva Howland Cox.  She was a member of the Leon Methodist Church.

Besides her sister, Miss Priscilla Cox, in the home, she leaves a number of cousins, uncles and aunts, and the Rhoades brothers, who like the Cox sisters, befriended and have lived in their home a number of years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Floyd.
