PROPHETSTOWN – Juanita S. Roman, 70, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at her home. She owned and operated her own salon for many years, and was a homemaker.

Juanita was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Prophetstown, the daughter of Forrest K. and Susie W. (Church) Sutton. She married Robert J. Roman on June 6, 1959, in Prophetstown. She was a member of Prophetstown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Deb Roman and Kimber (Brian) Smith, both of Prophetstown, and Robin (Sean) Hicks of Pewaukee, Wis.; one son, Kent (Penny) Roman of Prophetstown; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert L. and Jesse K. Sutton; and one nephew.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Friday at Prophetstown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Wachholz officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. Arrangements were completed by Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown.

Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Home Care and Hospice in Clinton, Iowa
