SERVICES WERE HELD WEDNESDAY FOR WILLIAM E. McCORMICK WHO PASSED AWAY MONDAY

Funeral  services  for William E.  McCormick who passed away at 1:30  o'clock Monday afternoon,  were held in St. Mary's Church Wednesday morning, at 9:30, Rev. Fr. T. O. Maguire, officiating. Those acting as pallbearers  were Ed Mee  and Wm. Killan of Sterling, Harry Keefe and Jack Cooney of Deer  Grove, and Guy  Elmendorf and Richard Kelly, Jr.  of Tampico.  The  service  was attended by a large member of  relatives, neighbors and friends. Many also attended the burial at St. Mary's cemetery in Sterling.

Mr. McCormick had been in ill health  from heart trouble  for over a year  and for the past two months had been seriously ill.

A prominent  farmer in this vicinity he was well known by a great  many who  extend their sympathy to the family. He is survived by his wife and four children, Hugh C., Ann, Margaret and William E., Jr. all at home.
