PROPHETSTOWN - Ruth L. Danielson, 96, a resident of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown died Dec. 28, 2012 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Advent Christian Church, Prophetstown with Pastor Erik Carlson of Advent Christian Church, Prophetstown and Rev. Jim Jensen, associate pastor at Gateway Faith Fellowship in Fulton, co-officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Jan. 5 at the church. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

Mrs. Danielson was born May 19, 1916 in Malden to Sherman and Minnie (Mills) Watson. She married Harry W. Danielson on Dec. 8, 1935 in Malden. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2003.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy (Jim) Duffield of Prophetstown; one granddaughter, Michelle (Ryan) Mackin of Milan; and four great-grandchildren, Jaren Duffield and Rachel, Megan and Riley Mackin.

She was preceded her in death by her husband; one son in infancy; one grandson, Jonathan Duffield; three sisters, Irene Steele, Geneva Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Watson; three brothers, Jim, Earl and Harold Watson; and one special nephew, Harold Hubbard.

Mrs. Danielson attended Malden Grade School and High School. She was a homemaker. Before moving to Prophetstown, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaMoille, where she served as deaconess. She later became a member of the Advent Christian Church in Prophetstown and volunteered in the church nursery. She was also a member of AARP. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard and she especially loved her church family; they were all very special to her.

Memorials may be directed to Advent Christian Church and Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, both in Prophetstown.
