LARRY HOCKMAN KILLED IN CRASH
This community was shocked and saddened when Larry Hockman, 17, year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Hockman and a member of the senior class of the Tampico high school, was killed instantly in a two car accident on the canal bridge east of town Tuesday evening. 
 
His companion, Ronald Bruder, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bruder, was severely injured and was taken to Community General Hospital, Sterling, where his condition is described as satisfactory. He suffered a crushed jaw, a severely lacerated knee, numerous bruises and contusions.
 
Donald Baker, 18, Walnut, driver of the other car, was injured and taken to Community General Hospital. He also suffered a broken jaw. His brother, James, a passenger in the car, received only minor injuries.
 
Larry Lee Hockman was born in the Princeton Hospital August 20, 1946, son of R. M. and Juanita Hockman. He had spent his entire [life] in Tampico and attended the local schools. He was a member of the Methodist Church. 
 
He is survived by his parents, several aunts and uncles. His paternal and maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
 
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Methodist church with Rev. Roger Baumeister officiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial cemetery.
 
Friends may call at Schmitt chapel after 2:00 Thursday afternoon.

RITES FRIDAY FOR TAMPICO CRASH VICTIM
TAMPICO - Services for Larry L. Hockman, 17, Tampico, killed in a two-car accident near here Tuesday night, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Methodist Church.
 
Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call in Schmitt Funeral Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hockman.

TEENAGER KILLED
TAMPICO, ILL - Larry L Hockman, 17, Tampico, was killed and two other persons injured Tuesday night in a head-on crash on a bridge near here.
 
Hockman, the driver of one car, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his car, Ronald Bruder, 13, Tampico, was injured. He was reported in satisfactory condition at Community General Hospital at Sterling.
 
The driver of the other car, Donald L. Baker, 18, was reported in satisfactory condition at the hospital with undetermined injuries. Baker's brother, James, 25, a passenger in his car, was treated and released at the hospital.
