Judy E. Sidebottom, age 62, of Toluca, Illinois and formerly of Walnut, Illinois passed away June 29, 2015 at Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria, Illinois.
Judy was born April 25, 1953 in Princeton, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Von Holten) Schulte. She was united in marriage to Steven Sidebottom on November 25, 1972 in Ohio, Illinois. She babysat for many years in Walnut. Judy worked as a cook with Heritage Health in Minonk, worked at the Toluca Garment Factory and Miller Hardware. Judy also helped Steve run their bar, Suds, in Toluca for 15 years. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Toluca. Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Steve; three daughters: Jennifer (Brad) Fandel of Toluca, Christine (Sean) Cunningham of Minonk and Karen (Derek) McCully of Morton, Illinois; one son: Steven (Keli) Sidebottom of Minonk; eleven grandchildren: Merceades Fandel, Peyton Fandel, Sierra Fandel, Brayden Cunningham, Kyra Cunningham, Lucas Sidebottom, Parker Sidebottom, Mila Sidebottom, Isabelle McCully, Maya McCully and Dylan McCully; her mother, Marie Schulte of Walnut; three sisters: Carolyn (Don) Wallace of Tampico, Illinois, Joyce (Dean) Geldean of Harmon, Illinois, Carla (Tim) Gonnigam of Walnut; three brothers: Virgil (Judy) Schulte of Walnut, Marc (Carol) Schulte of Walnut and Jim (Cindy) Schulte of Ohio, Illinois and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert and one brother, Jerry Schulte.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walnut Bible Church with Rev. Ryan Anderson, Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Toluca and Rev. Eldon Cook, Pastor of the Walnut Bible Church, co-officiating. Burial will take place in Van Orin Repose Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memorial has been established in her memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Toluca or the Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria. Online condolences may be left at www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
