Crystal N. Merryman, 30, of Erie, died Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her home.A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 8th at Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Erie. Private graveside services in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the education fund for her daughter in care of Patty Weeber.
Crystal was born February 22, 1985 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Steve Merryman and Patty Shafer. She graduated from Erie High School. After high school she went to college to become a Medical Assistant. She worked at S.T.R.I.V.E. in Prophetstown.
Crystal loved spending time with friends and movie night with her daughter. She enjoyed baking, making crafts and scrapbooking. Her family was most important to her and came first. She had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her daughter, Mysti Moody; father, Steve Merryman, Erie; mother, Patty (Bill) Weeber, Erie; brothers, Chuck (Amy) Shafer, Erie, Luke Merryman, Erie; best friends, Michelle Siddles, Pekin, IL, Stephanie McClintock, Erie; nephews and nieces, Cody Weimer, Tyler Siddles, Cylar Smith, Haley Shafer, Katie Siddles; paternal grandfather, Henry Merryman, Erie; and maternal grandmother, Kay Perkins, Barstow. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Patsy Merryman, maternal grandfather, Kenny Jellis; uncle, David Jellis; and a cousin, Misty Price.
