Dale DeCrane, 83, of 206 E Elkhorn, Polo, Illinois, died October 9, 2015, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Arrangements are made at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. A visitation was held Friday, October 16, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Dale was born in Atkinson, Illinois on August 15, 932, the son of Edward and Augusta (DeSutter) DeCrane. He attended Hutslander Grade School and St. Bede Academy, Peru. He married Mary Ann Manthe on April 19, 1952. She died July 24, 1993. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rock Falls.

He is survived by one son, Martin (Tracey) DeCrane, of Polo; one daughter, Angie (Steve) Buckley of Lyndon; four grandchildren, Samuel, Spencer, Halie and Joshua DeCrane, one great-grandchild, Sienna DeCrane; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilber and Vincent; one sister, Marjorie Causemaker, and a special friend, Corinne Rich.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Mike Winkelman officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. A memorial has been established to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rock Falls. Online condolences may be left at www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
