Mrs. Alice E. Olson, age 83, formerly of Tampico, died Saturday evening, January 1, 1994, in Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 4, at 1 p.m. in the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, with Rev. Robert May, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Mrs. Olson was born on January 3, 1910, in Tampico, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Orient Olds Wetzell. She was united in marriage to Boline Olson on June 22, 1937, at Tampico, IL, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1990.

She was a member of the Tampico United Methodist Church and the Harmony Circle at the church, member of Tampico American Legion Auxillary, and the Whiteside County Rural Carriers Auxillary,

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Johnson and Mrs. David (Betsy) Hoover, both of Tampico, IL, and Mrs. Ernie (Ava) Little of Sterling, IL; seven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Helen Andreas and Mrs. Esther Hoover, both of Sterling, IL, one brother, Harold Wetzell of Tampico, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister in infancy.
