Marjorie Ann Billings, age 85 of Prophetstown, formerly of Rock Falls, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Prophetstown.

Marjorie was born on April 26, 1934 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of George and Fern (Fenn) Maberry. She married James Ambrose Billings on March 16, 1951 in Dixon. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1993. Marjorie worked as a diet counselor, was a foster grandmother at Jefferson School in Sterling and sold Avon for many years. She loved Gospel music, working on her yard and quilting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. Marjorie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Billings of Rock Falls; two grandchildren, Amanda Burger of Prophetstown and Jared Hudson of Prophetstown; six great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one daughter, Peggy Sue Billings; three sisters, Rosie Ingle, Katherine Maberry and Betty Lumbard; and three brothers, Kenneth, Gene and Amos Maberry.

Cremation rites have been accorded with the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
