RICHARD L. “DICK” JOHNSON, 73, of Marenisco, MI, formerly of Albany, IL, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI.

The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Pastor Toni Lucas, pastor of Albany United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial has been established by the family.

Dick was born October 28, 1945, in Morrison, IL, to Richard L. and Betty F. (Glass) Johnson. He was a graduate of Tampico High School in Tampico, IL. Dick married Sandra K. Olinger on May 22, 1965, in Prophetstown, IL. He was employed by 3M of Cordova, IL, retiring in 2009. Dick was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie #705 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #363 both in Clinton, IA. He also had served as a Boy Scout Leader in Albany. Dick was a member of MI – Trale ATV, Multi-Use and Horse Trails in the Western U.P. of Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and boating.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; his mother, Betty Johnson of Prophetstown, IL, one daughter, Lee (William) Todtz of Cortland, IL; one son, Rick (Lisa) Johnson of Albany, IL; three grandchildren, Brittany (Lucas) Wakefield, William “Will” Todtz, and Dane Johnson; two brothers, Doug (Mere) Johnson and Tom Johnson both of Prophetstown, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father.
