Chelbie Altepeter - 65

STERLING – Chelbie Lynn Altepeter, age 65, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Chelbie was born on July 22, 1953 in Sterling, the daughter of Clifford and Vera (Bruns) Rosene. She attended Tampico Schools and worked for many years at Dixon State School. Chelbie loved to play games and enjoyed her large extended family. She was a member of the Tampico Church of Christ and Rock River Christian Center. Survivors include one son, Steven Altepeter of Sterling; three sisters, Gloria (Phil) York of Avon, Ind., Jill (Craig) Froeter of Sterling and Tamara (Marty) Wolf of Rock Falls; three brothers, Richard (Karen) Rosene of Brownsburg, Ind., Craig Rosene of Mt. Olivet, Ky. and Jeffrey (Paula) Rosene of Tampico; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Danny Ray and Rory Steven Rosene. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend Carlos McNinch officiating. Burial will follow at Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico.
