He was born on February 7, 1956 in Sterling, the son of Lester L. and Anita L. (Santee) Pratt. He married Michele M. Heimann on September 10, 1977 in Sterling. Terry was a member of the EMS community for most of his life. He served as a paramedic with the Prophetstown Fire District for and Illini Hospital many years and had worked as paramedic and instructor through OSF St. Anthony Medical center in Rockford for 22 years. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.

Surviving is his wife, Michele; his sons, Joseph (Tracy) Pratt of Prophetstown and David Pratt of Tampico; his father Lester L. Pratt; his sister Cindy Pratt of Prophetstown; his brother Tim (Tanya) Pratt of Colona; and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his son, James Pratt and his brother Todd Pratt.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. Graveside services will follow on Monday at 10 AM at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, in Sterling.
